Our Finest Varieties Cox Apple Cider 2.2% vol. 75 cl. Here the two time-honoured, aromatic thoroughbred apples Cox Orange and Holsteiner Cox come together in a flavourful, grown-up, medium-dry cider with a low alcohol content. The taste is fresh and appley, with elegant bubbles and a long, tangy finish.
The apples, from our orchards in Kivik, were pressed and clear-filtered in a single batch. A small part of the must was transferred to a small fermentation vessel, where yeast was added and the apple wine was fermented dry. The dry apple wine was then blended with just the right amount of the remaining Cox must to give an alcohol content of 2.2%. Excellent with pork in all its forms – but above all with the Skåne egg cake, äggakaka, with its sinfully tasty fried pork. Enjoy well chilled. Our philosophy is to grow for flavour, and to bring out all the fantastic qualities of Swedish apples. When we make cider, the taste and character of these apples are the focus.
