A single-variety apple must made only from Gravensteiner apples. Gravensteiner is often called the king of apples and is a classic old variety that still holds its own when it comes to taste. The apple must has a distinct Gravensteiner flavour, with astringency from the skin and a fresh finish from its high acidity. A delicious alcohol-free alternative at the dinner table, ideally with chicken and fish – but of course also with apple cake.
